Imidacloprid is a pest control product.

Its unique formula allows it to be used in rotation with acetamiprid, making it suitable for both low and high temperatures. While imidaclopride is for high temperatures, acetamiprid is ideal for low temperatures.

This powerful insecticide control a variety of pests including aphids, planthoppers, whiteflies, leafhoppers and thrips. In addition, it  shows to be effective against certain Coleopteran, Diptera and Lepidoptera pests such as the rice weevil, rice slug and leaf miner. However, it should be noted that imidaclopride is ineffective against nematodes and red spiders.

Imidacloprid is versatile and effective on a wide variety of crops including rice, wheat, corn, cotton, potatoes, vegetables, sugar beets and fruit trees. Its excellent systemic properties make it particularly suitable for seed treatment and granular application.

Usage and Dosage

It is apply 3 to 10 grams of active ingredient per mu, mixed with water for spraying or seed dressing. The safe interval between reapplications is 20 days. The product does not come into contact with the skin. Clean any exposed parts with clean water promptly after use. It is also important to avoid mixing imidacloprid with alkaline pesticides and avoid spraying in strong sunlight to maintain its efficacy.

For specific pests such as Spiraea aphid, apple tuber aphid, peach aphid, pear psyllid, leaf whitefly, whitefly, leafminer, etc., it can be  with 10% imidacloprid 4000-6000 times liquid or 5% imidacloprid EC. 2000-3000 times liquid spray. In order to effectively control cockroaches,  choose Shennong 2.1% cockroach-killing gel bait.

The continuous overdose of imidacloprid in recent years has led to the emergence of high drug resistance. Therefore, many country has banned the use of this product in rice cultivation.
