Lufenuron’s mode of action primarily involves inhibiting the synthesis of chitin in insects. Chitin is a crucial component of the insect exoskeleton and other structures. As a benzoylurea insect growth regulator, Lufenuron interferes with the formation of chitin, preventing the insects from properly molting and developing.
Lufenuron insecticide dosage
Lufenuron 100 EC is a highly concentrated insecticide designed for efficient pest management. For optimal results, the recommended dosage is 0.5 to 1.5 liters per hectare, depending on the severity of the infestation. By inhibiting chitin synthesis, Lufenuron 100 EC effectively halts the development of insect larvae, ensuring long-lasting crop protection.

- Disruption of Chitin Synthesis: Lufenuron inhibits key enzymes involved in the chitin synthesis pathway, resulting in insufficient chitin production.

- Lethal Effects: Insects unable to molt and form an exoskeleton gradually lose their protective outer layer and ultimately die.
