Description:Forchlorfenuron is a member of the class of phenylureas
It is a plant growth regulator widely used in agriculture for improving
fruit quality and fruit size. It has a role as a plant growth regulator.
2.Mode of action
🌱 1. Promotes Cell Division and Elongation:Forchlorfenuron mimics the effects of natural cytokinins (such as zeatin), stimulating rapid cell division and increasing cell volume, thereby accelerating fruit and tissue growth.
🍇 2. Enhances Fruit Enlargement and Improves Fruit Set:It increases the number and volume of cells in fruit tissues, resulting in larger and more uniform fruits; it also improves nutrient transport, increasing fruit set and reducing flower and fruit drop.
🍃 3. Delays Senescence and Enhances Stress Resistance:By maintaining chlorophyll content in leaves and fruits, it slows down the senescence process, allowing crops to maintain better growth under adverse conditions such as drought and low temperatures.
🍊 4. Regulates Endogenous Hormone Balance:Forchlorfenuron affects the balance of hormones such as auxin and gibberellin in plants, thereby increasing photosynthetic efficiency and promoting the transport of dry matter to the fruit.

4.Dosage and administration
| Crop | Pesticide Concentration | Application Method | Application Time |
Number of Applications |
| Apples,Pears, Peaches,Plums |
10–20 mg/L | spray | Early fruit enlargement stage after flowering | 1–2 times |
| Grapes | 10–15 mg/L | spray | Post-flowering or fruit enlargement stage | 1–3 times |
| Citrus fruits | 10–15 mg/L | spray | Young fruit stage | 1–4 times |
| Tomatoes,Cucumbers | 10–15 mg/L | spray | Early fruiting stage | 1 time |
| Chili peppers,Eggplant | 10–20 mg/L | spray | Fruit enlargement period | 1 time |
5. Risks and Precautions for Pesticide Damage
1. Control the dosage to avoid deformed and hollow fruit.
2. Avoid application at high temperatures (>30℃).
3. Do not mix with strong acids, strong alkalis, or calcium-containing preparations.
4. Avoid repeated application when fruit is expanding too rapidly.
5. Insufficient crop nutrition can easily lead to fruit cracking, potassium and calcium fertilizers should be used in conjunction.
