Propanil 34%Ec 45%Ec 80Wdg

Mode of action

Propanil interferes with the normal growth process of weeds. After weed leaves absorb it, it stops the plants from producing the energy they need to survive. As a result, the weeds cannot maintain their normal life activities, and their growth quickly slows down or completely stops.

Over time, the affected weeds begin to show clear signs of damage. Their leaves gradually turn yellow, lose vitality, and start to dry out. As the energy shortage becomes more serious, the whole plant weakens, eventually withers, and dies completely.

Propanil Features

1.Contact action: Primarily absorbed through the leaves of weeds.
2.Rapid onset of action: Weeds begin to wither within a few days of application.
3.High selectivity: Rice readily breaks down the herbicide, making it safe for rice, while weeds cannot decompose it and die.

Applicable crops

Propanil is a selective herbicide specifically designed for controlling weeds in paddy fields, primarily for rice.

Weed control

Propanil is primarily used to control annual weeds in rice paddies, with particularly significant effects on barnyard grass (Echinochloa spp.). It also effectively controls crabgrass (Digitaria spp.) and some other annual broadleaf and grassy weeds. When applied during the seedling stage, it rapidly inhibits weed growth, causing them to gradually wither and die, thus reducing competition for nutrients, water, and light from the rice.
